118 Avenue hip-hop fest aims to do more

After the success of last year’s inaugural Hip-Hop on the Avenue, organizer Stephen Goyette was determined to make the event more inclusive, and also do some good for the community he is promoting. Showcasing artists from Edmonton’s northside and 118 Avenue neighbourhoods, Hip-Hop on the Avenue was designed as a way to celebrate the artistic creativity coming out of an area of the city that is more commonly associated with crime and urban decay.
