Ohhhh helllzzzzz yea………this movie is 1 of the OG’s of Urban gangsta flicks……..starring Wesley Snipes as Nino Brown and Ice-T as Scotty Appleton…ohh and cant forget Chris Rock as Pooky….Nino is a vicious drug lord who will do anything and everything 2 get 2 the top of his game……..Ice-T is a cop who goes undercover 2 bust Nino and infiltrate his drug empire……this movie is sikk and crazzzly off the hook….very riveting….its a New Jack City brah!!

HHAOE MOVIE OF THE WEEK: RHYME & REASON (1997)

 

This movie is an absolute must watch for anyone into hip hop.  From tracing hip hop’s roots back to the 70s in the Bronx to how gangsta rap wuz formed to even discussing the way hip hop is today this movie is arguably the best documentary put together about hip hop ever made.  With interviews from artists like Kurtis Blow, KRS-ONE, Chuck D, Ice-T, Dr. Dre, Nas, Cypress Hill, MC Eiht, Tupac Shakur, Notorious B.I.G, Wu-Tang Clan, and many more you will not want to pass this movie by.  Also there is rare footage of Tupac’s Memorial Service and 1 of the last interviews that Biggie ever made.  If there wuz ever a bible for hip hop…….this would be it……so if u haven’t watched this b4……know your history b4 u start reppin the culture…….and if u have seen it…….watch it again and remember where u came frum!!!!!!

HHAOE MOVIE OF THE WEEK: FRIDAY (1995)

 

A classic film starring Ice Cube and Chris Tucker.  The story revolves around 1 day in the life of Craig and Smokey.  This movie is way too funny and i highly reccomend u blaze 1 b4 u watch it!!!  Although 2 sequels were made nuthin compares 2 the original and this also wuz the movie that launched Chris Tucker’s career……..enjoy!!!
